A strange loop

A Strange Loop was created during the artist’s pregnancy and early postpartum period, a transformative passage from singular to plural, both physically and psychologically. Tracing the blurred contours of her changing body, the artist explores the disorienting and self-transcending journey of becoming a mother. Through a loop of loss, becoming, and returning, the work reflects on how the boundaries of self shift and expand to accommodate another life, while opening new possibilities for reconstructing a sense of home.

《A Strange Loop》 創作於藝術家懷孕至產後初期，從單數走向複數，一段身體與心理皆經歷深刻轉變的歷程。藝術家描繪自己不斷變化的身體輪廓，探索成為母親這段令人暈眩、驚喜與困惑的旅程。透過一個由失去、生成與返回所構成的循環，作品反思自我的界線如何隨著與另一個生命的連結而縮小和擴張，並開啟重新建構「家」和「歸屬感」意義的可能性。
