Pressure Test I壓力測試

This project was created during the 18th Street Art Center Residency, LA, 2020

Pressure Test is a two-channel video project intended to depict the unsettled mental status and the increasing tension between body and space under the current uncertainties. The artist utilized red balloons and her temporary home, the studio space at the 18th Street Art Center, to reflect how the months-long lockdown, curfew orders, climate crises, and travel restrictions generated layers of mental pressure, threatened the basic act of breathing, and created the dilemma of feeling “sick of home” and “homesick” at the same time.
